Good News! We are excited to announce that all JCP&L Residential Energy Efficiency programs will be continuing through 12/31/2024! Act now to save money and live more comfortably in your home today!
JCP&L’s Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program can help you get comfortable while lowering your energy costs. Plus, get rebates for home improvement work!
The first step to discovering how to make your home more comfortable and energy efficient is to select a participating contractor and schedule a home energy audit. Through this program, a specially trained Participating Contractor will come to your home and:
To get started, find a specially trained Participating Contractor in your area. (Interested in becoming a participating contractor? Learn more about the opportunity.)
Once you have scheduled your audit and the date is set, a specially trained Participating Contractor will use diagnostic equipment to perform this comprehensive evaluation and determine how improvements throughout your home can work together to increase energy efficiency and savings. The contractor will assess your water heating, heating and cooling system, conduct a health and safety check, check insulation levels, and look for air sealing and other opportunities around the home.
Once the audit is completed, you may qualify for rebates up to $5,000.
When your home energy audit is complete, your contractor will provide you with a prioritized list of recommended energy efficiency improvements with rebate amounts specifically tailored for your home. You decide which solutions best fit your budget. Once completed, JCP&L will reward you with rebates to help cover the cost of the work.
Your rebate amount is based on the estimated electric and gas savings of eligible measures as calculated by your contractor using energy modeling software. The more you save, the bigger your rebate!
Contractor fees may vary for this service. It is generally accepted practice to contact several contractors before selecting one.
This offer is valid for JCP&L residential customers applying through the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program only. To qualify, the homeowner must be a residential customer with a JCP&L account number and work with a participating contractor.
All work performed must meet strict building standards. Air sealing must be completed prior to installing insulation. Projects may require installation of ventilation to comply with indoor air quality standards. Talk to your contractor about how ventilation and air sealing work together to make your home more comfortable, safe, and energy efficient.
